Back in our breakout groups, we will have teachers align their curriculum across grade levels. Then we will begin curriculum mapping.
We want to be very sensitive to the fact that we are transitioning from one paradigm to another, and prior knowledge expected of students in the new paradigm may not have been provided for in the old. We also want to stress that next year, the year we are mapping for, students will still be responsible for NYS standards, so we’ll want to make this a transition year for the Common Core.
